3 months - 3 years Intensive Courses
The classes are delivered over five consecutive weekdays at the same time each day for 30 minutes. The advantage of intensive courses is that the participant benefits from intensive learning. For parents and guardians with a busy lifestyle, it is often easy to forget over the course of a week what was previously learnt.
These classes are the beginning of a “journey through aquatics” and have been carefully designed to give confidence to both the child and the attending adult. The emphasis is upon development of very basic motor skills and introduction to water and the swimming environment through fun and games.
Please not each child will need to be accompanied by a parent or guardian whilst in the pool.
4 - 5 years old Intensive Courses
The classes are delivered over five consecutive weekdays at the same time each day for 30 minutes. The advantage of intensive courses is that the participant benefits from intensive learning. For parents and guardians with a busy lifestyle, it is often easy to forget over the course of a week what was previously learnt.
These classes are designed to develop basic safety awareness, movement skills and water confidence skills. Swimmers will be introduced to swimming aids such as arm bands and floats. At the beginning of the course, a supervising adult will be required to accompany the child in classes. As the child progresses and develops more self confidence, this may change. The decision will be at the discretion of the Instructor.
Please note: All children must be accompanied by an adult in the water
Intensive Courses

These classes have the same aims and objectives as those delivered to 6-10 year-olds, but are delivered in a style which is appropriate to the age group.
6 -8 years old Intensive Courses
The classes are delivered over five consecutive weekdays at the same time each day for 30 minutes. The advantage of intensive courses is that the participant benefits from intensive learning – there’s no forgetting what was learnt the week before.
These classes are designed to develop various skills to the optimum level achievable by the individual. The overall aim of these classes is to produce swimmers who:
- Are aware of the dangers of water;
- Understand the four basic swimming strokes;
- Have developed an understanding of the principles of swimming (i.e buoyancy, propulsion).
