Make a Splash has been named by the Mayor of London as one 100 great things about the London 2012 Olympics!
With just under a year to go until the greatest show on earth kicks off in London, The Mayor's office has compiled a list of the ways Londoners are already benefitting from the Olympics visiting the capital.
Other things on the list include the upgrade of the East London line, 11,000 new jobs at Olympic Park, and thousands of new jobs - plus lots of other great sporting projects to get people in London active.
Make a Splash, managed and operated for the Mayor of London by Total Swimming, is taking mobile pools to areas in need across the city as a legacy of the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Mayor of London Boris Johnson today tweeted , ' Mobile swimming pools popping up in London neighbourhoods. No.37 of 100 great things about the Games.'
Publication of the list comes just days after the offical celebrations to mark one year to the start of London 2012, featuring a host of Olympic legends and hopeful medal prospects. Swimming will take place at the iconic new aquatics centre, where Commonwealth Champion Tom Daley performed the first ever dive into the pool.
With just over 11 months to go until the start of the Games, the Mayor is keen that Londoners realise the benefits of having the world's largest sporting event in their city.
